I also use my nutmilk strainer bag for sorrel, as the dry one tends to have fine pieces. Sometimes I put the remnants from straining coconut milk in bread, or other baked goods. I've even put a little bit in callaloo or soup, but everybody doesn't necessarily want to taste the bits in a stew/sauce.

More coconut milk can be extracted from medium ripe green coconut than a fully matured but not dry one.
Medium ripe will be easy to grind as the fibers are less strong. Its exterior dark skin(not shell) when removed before grinding is easy if the coconut is medium ripe, than when the skin is.dark and hard.

The coconut milk like this is the best. Check the ingredients on the can for the coconut milk. Some have 2% coconut milk and the rest is all sorts of other things. It was a TTO for me.

It makes no sense to NOT incorporate the coconut water into the blend. I'm sure if water is used, then certainly the natural water can be used as well AND it'll be far more tasty!😉👍
