I wasn't hot on flip-style cases, until I realized a couple of the advantages: The tri-fold design that Amazon uses, forms a natural kickstand with two different vertical angles, and can also be used as a vertical stand in Landscape mode. Another advantage is important to some, including me: it works equally well for left- and right-handed users. The Scribe's magnets and screen menus are arranged so you can flip the device 180 degrees. This puts the wider "grip" bezel on the right or left according to your preference, and having the pen loop at the bottom of the flip-case, means that the pen doesn't get in the way of either the left or right-handed orientations in Portrait or Landscape mode.

I refused to get the Amazon cover as it opens flip style. I have a 3rd party cover for mine, so it opens the book way.

The coathanger in the back is clever. If I ever owned my own house I would install a stand from the roof that comes down, hands free baby
