He got his first Fishing rod. Boat life is for us not only sailing constantly, a sail life, but primarily living a life close to nature, an alternative lifestyle, as a family together. Our liveaboard life as a sailing family, family life onboard, a family living at sea and sailing around the world.

Thank you all for sending love to us when we were struggling with our relationship in our previous episode. Lately, we have been arguing more and more. It didn’t feel right when we watched our episodes and regularly thought just a view seconds before this ‘happy’ scene we were arguing and in the video you didn’t see anything.

But it is extremely hard to film the ‘bad’ so we were able to catch this one. Which was already extremely challenging and scary to share.

We did decide to not talk much about our love struggles in the upcoming videos, although you can see there is a little less love and affection as you are used to seeing of us. This month - December - we hardly filmed (our episodes are now about 1, 5 months behind) and focus on each other and resolving our struggles.

We missed each other dearly after our short split up, and know our problems aren’t resolved. This month we actually spend 5 days apart from each other, and it made us argue even more.

We know what is going on and do everything we can to create a thriving love relationship just like we have with being business partners, best friends, and parents. It is a long story of what is happening right now, but it comes down to two persons that went through a not normal period in their lives (bankruptcy of Gerben’s company and a mental breakdown), having to take on not normal roles in their relationship to survive, and now trying to figure out how to come back to their new transformed selves.

After sharing our fight in our previous episode - which we were in doubt of sharing and it was so close to Christmas time - we got so many messages of people going through the same or really thankful for us being so open. So thank you everyone for sharing your intimate stories with us and your loving support.

We just try to keep it real in our episodes even though it is just 20 min of our weeks in total.

Currently, we had a wonderful Christmas, together with almost no arguments, which is a great milestone, but we know we aren’t there yet.

We will share more in the new year as we think the challenges we all go through can be of great value to others who are experiencing the same. Even if it is just knowing that there are others going through the same and maybe getting inspiration and insights on how to overcome theirs.

What I know is that I got sick of all the Christmas wishes with all the lists of how grateful they were and what amazing goals they reached this year - and of course, this is great and people should share and should be proud, I just know that as we were in a not so happy place it would have been great to hear a less successful story as well. Because those are just evenly part of life as the good.

So here is ours! Everyone has struggles and life is one big transformational journey with highs and lows.

And even though we struggle we are also extremely grateful for the lives we have and what we reached and created together. And we know that focussing on the positive is important, but we also strongly believe in getting to the root cause of disempowering habits and beliefs and transforming them into empowering ones.

And this only happens by accepting and loving also the dark sides of our lives.

As we are ending this year, we wish you an amazing and extraordinary new year, that you can live a life you desire!

Wow, 5 years of no resolution with your business. That is difficult! I learned over the years that I have little or no control over life. I used to think I had control over my life.. Then I gained understanding. When there are trials and tribulations in our life, there is a purpose and an opportunity for us to learn about ourselves and have the awareness to change through God's guidance. The insufficient way we love, think, feel, and act can be overcome by knowledge of who we are and our purpose in life. But that ability can only be achieved through belief, faith, Hope, knowing God, His Word, praying, asking, following Him, which results in maturity and growth. Love of the world will cause us to lose our connection with God. Our love of God will cause us to gain life.
