Koo was referred in because of his #lowerbackpain. He had a lumbar fusion operation on L4 and L5 with an artificial disc in-between back in 2017. However, his lower back pain never went away and now the joints above and below start to deteriorate even faster due to faulty biomechanics motions.

He is in so much pain that he cannot sit more than 15 min still and to him, this is detrimental because he is a professional pianist performer and needs to be able to sit longer up to 2 hours for practice and concert.

After thorough analysis, turns out the majority of his discomfort was coming from his pelvis rather than his lumbar spine. His right hip has rotated outward which created pain along the SI joint.

For chiropractic students, the preferred move for this type of misalignment is to “pull” the hip but because it has been subluxated for a long time hence it didn’t move that way so I had to “push” to get the healing process started. Subsequent adjustments were carried out with the “pull”.

Today he came in and report he now can sit for just about 30 min and is ready to extend that even longer with continued care.
