Thank you for sharing your experience. I have a question on pollination. Do you leave the vine alone to pollinate it own, or do you pick the male flowers and tap the pollen off to the female flowers?? I do this technique with pumpkins, and just wondering if its the same.

Question I have my female flowers coming in and i hand pollinated them.. its been 4 days now and don't know if the pollination was successful but what fertilizer should I use?

what is a good quantity of fertilizer?
i use 3 table spoons of 20-20-20 mixed with 2 gallons of water. I also add a bit of urea to it. I apply this twice a week. is this a good method or should I be doing something else?

What year is your Dodge and how many miles? I've got an 01 270, 000 miles, still runs like a champ. They made those 2nd gens to last.When it craps out, I'm going to look for one with low miles again. Mine had 74, 000 when I got it.

I dont live far from Garner, I just pulled a 55 pounder yesterday and have several more still growing. nothing near as fancy as this setup. lots of bone meal and blood meal. And I eat my watermelons. planted Carolina 180 heirloom seeds.
