First of all Imam Hassan A.S due to his very very difficult situation was left with no choice but to make a treaty. He absolutely did not "accept" Muawiya. There is a clear difference between a peace treaty and giving your allegiance. Why do you think he was still killed? Just like his father Ali A.S?. Secondly, The agreement between Imam Hassan (as) and Mauwiya was that after Muawiya's death the matter of who becomes Khalifa would again be put before a neutral council, which meant that it would once again be possible for lineage of the Prophet (S) to be given leadership of the community. However Muawiya did not honor this agreement and when he was close to death, he appointed Yazid the Khalifa after him. Defending Muawiya LA is something I see a lot from some sects and it’s beyond me why they do this.

Mauviya had fought Jang e siffin with Maula Ali (AS). And there is a hadees of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that Ali (as) is with truth and truth is with Ali (as). Therefore those who have done fighting with maula Ali (as) is not on true path. In conclusion we the ummah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) follows ALI (AS)❤

What Muawiya did to Hazrat Ali was unjust. I am speaking as a Sunni.
Muawiya should have supported and strengthen Hazrat Ali R.A. On the contrary, he fought against Hazrat Ali R.A.
Hazrat Ali R.A recieted Qunoot e Nazila against Muawiya and his supporters. Its all written in Sunni books.
Please don't pose Muawiya as a very pious man who any Muslim should follow.

What about the time when muawiah cursed hazrat ali for nearly 60 years? Can anyone please tell me is this right? How am i supposed to respect this person who does such things, and even dishonor his oath to Imam hassan. I mean logically speaking how are you expecting people to think good of this person just because he is a sahaba? Like of a Sahaba rapes a woman would you still say we love him and respect him just because he was a sahaba?
Sunnis say shias hold the 12 imams in high regard this that whatever but you hold the sahabas in fhe same way too forgiving everything some of them did as if they were divinely appointed. Why? Its simple logic come on .

A person should be so modest and honest that even if my father or son does something wrong then i should hold them accountable instead of taking their side in a wrong way just because he is my son or father.

We cannot say anything about hazrat moviya, but the truth is we cannot deny the hadees which are written in Sahi Bukhari and Muslim, especially knowing that he was the one who sent Yazid to finish our prophet generation was devastating for our hearts. All I can say is in my opinion that we should handover this case to one and only almighty God Allah that's it thanks.

Hazrat Hasan fulfilled Nana's prophecy where he mentioned that Hazrat Imam Hasan AS would stop fighting between 2 groups of Muslims by leaving his lawful right to Hazrat Muawiyah.
