Thank you so much! You just saved me so much time and frustration. My MacBook pro is perfectly fine but older and Apple has shut is down for new updates.. .so they can make $$$$. So thankful for your video!!!

Today I have had a similar issue, but with the Z5. I was able to update LR to 9.4, import files and edit them. Later that same day, I shot more, went back to import, and LR could see the images (importing through the camera) but would not import them. I'm dumbfounded! I changed nothing. Any ideas?

i am caught up in the same situation and thats why im here. its so effing frustrating ...i did exactly as you did, upgraded my mac to Mojave but then nothing worked like before. so i down graded to El Capitan, but then i couldnt open any NEF. now im gonna do as you said and upgrade to Sierra.
