FM Basics - Setting up new games faster | Football Manager 2014

Hopefully this tip is useful, its very basic but unbelievably useful and can save you alot of time in the long run. You can even set up a number of starting saves with different preset leagues loaded if you do change the leagues you have loaded.

I've been using this technique for a year or two and it's a decent time saver.

Its a minor down side for people with bad machines, and is useful even if you want to do a trial with a team, maybe check their budgets and squad before starting a long term save with them

started doing this towards the end of fm 13 saves alot of time only downside is if you want to mess about with the database etc you have to make a new save from scratch

I guess you must have a fast machine to have all he leagues in Europe running with 5 star perfomance. Thanks for the tip maks a lot of sense

One problem with this is though, that everyone who has random PA and stuff will have the same PA, as that's set up during the loading. So games started with this method will tend to turn out relatively similar in terms of which players become megastars and who turns out to be pretty shit, etc.

Still, if you're going to play in a completely different league or whatever each time then it won't be much of an issue.

Already addressed this in the comments although its rare players reach their PA's and everytime the stat distribution will be different anyway.

You could have a look at Hearts, see if you can get them back to their best. Would be a tough challenge though

On my PC its noticeably slower but not terrible, wouldn't recommend it unless your PC is a tank

Like I also told yesterday, this is very true, but there is one thing that sucks about this. Every random value will be the same every game. Pretty much every player has at least some attributes that are randomly set by creating a new save.

By the way, you have a save with VVV? They suck haha.

There is a negative point you should mention! If you do this trick the players with a raondom Potential Ability will always have the same potential ability in those saves"!
