I've got 2 cats, had 3, all very much adults. They meow in the middle of the night at each other. My Cockatoo will Yell "SHUT UP!" if they do it too much.

Adult cats DO vocalize to each other. There is a rolling trill which is a greeting or hello before presenting butts to each other for friendly cats of the same community. Growls and hisses for conflict and even a variety of vocalizations for various social interactions at distance before closing to physical interaction range, to "set the mood" of the meeting and prevent unneeded conflict.

If you lived in a rural area, you would know that cats actually meow to each other, too. Even wild cats do this quite often.
Don't mistake my comment as hate, but sadly the information presented in this video is not correct.

I have seen this posted before and always assumed it was a fake internet fact. I have seen adult feral cats meow at each other. Specifically a female cat I named Squeakums specifically because she lets out a pathetic little squeaky meow at other cats if they are hogging the food bowl, and the others usually let her in when she does this. The fact that they also use vocalizations for locating mates also had me suspect, I have seen cats let out little meows when rubbing up against each other. Hell, I had another cat that meowed any time he jumped or pounced on something. I find this "fact" extremely suspect if not downright easily disprovable.

There may be a nugget of truth in it though. I think wild cat populations that do not have much human interaction probably do not meow at each other, but when interacting with humans they learn that meowing can be used to get attention and alert to what they need, but they absolutely will use that tactic with other cats and not just humans.

My adult cats (brothers) like to sleep together. When one is ready for bed for the night he will meow for his brothers to come to bed.

I dont like cats myself, but my sister has this lovely rescue cat.
She is a literal dog. She meows and knows how to do different commands, like sit or paw.
One time when i was cat-sitting her, she started to meow like crazy in the middle of the night, i woke up to see what was going on and turns out there was a fire in the kitchen! I took it out and I am still grateful for that cat for saving my (and her) life.

And thats why I love cat meows 💕
