I wanted to make a plushy version of this but I didn’t wanna use double crochets because I was worried the stuffing would come through. But I tried to basically just add an extra round of single crochets after each round to keep the same height as the original thing, and it worked :)

For example, if the round was of double crochets (I didn’t do this for the single crochet rounds where you put the spikes in since they didn’t need extra height), I would do the round the way that the pattern says to do it, but then I would just add a round of single crochets all around after.

I also made the tail more ruffly by making the second round of the tail all double crochet increases and it came out super cute. I also just sewed the tail together instead of using draw strings.

The colors did come out a little wonky, but it might’ve been cuz I think I was slip-stitching in the wrong spot every time (I slip stitched into the single crochet instead of the chain 1).

But yeah sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to share this in case anybody else wanted to make a plushie version of this but didn’t know how to ❤️

I do plan on trying to make the same thing with double crochets just to see if the stuffing will stay inside and to see which version I like better, so I’ll try to update that once I’m able to
