It's quite rich that two of the most aggressive nations in the human history by far are accusing another country of the very same things which they have done for centuries.

It's surprising the 2 Atomic bombs by US on Japan civilians was not considered as Genocide! Go figure...

I'm surprised the Japanese and the US have the gall to criticize China about human right, based on what they did in world war II and the US bombing and killing in every wars in the world ever since.

what's the fuss about HK from these outsiders? The Pearl of Orient has always been a part of China for 5000 years except for that 156 years when the Brits seized HK. The Chinese government is being polite in responding and replying to these senseless statements or even accusations. I would have just answered with three words - what's your problem?

if japan respects 'human rights', ahem, where's their apology and the monument dedicated to the lives of the 50 million people in china/korea they took away (not to mention their rights)? japan still can't face its own sordid dark past squarely but tries to talk big about 'human rights.'

US still thinks it owns HK even though the Brits handed it back to China in 1997.

Hong Kong has restored peace and stability, which the crime rate has greatly decreased. While for Xinjiang, there are no terrorist attacks anymore, showing that the anti-terrorism policies did work

I would suggest that the Japan to compensate the victims due to brutality of the Japan army during WW2 ... Sex slave, Nanjing massacred and Chinese death in other Asia countries. Then the Japan show sincerity.

China: We want peace
US: We want to give Hong Kong democracy, just like in Iraq, afghanistan, lybia, egypt, syria, yemen.

The paper dragon is now an iron dragon 🐲🐉. Her Navy is powerful, that is why Japan is so worried and has to be lapdogs of the US. Today, the Russian Military and Chinese Military have agreed to cooperate to maintain peace ✌️ in Asia.

What’s the US doing in East Asia Summit? Last time I checked, the US is on the other side of the globe.

We are more concerned about the human rights of the people of Okinawa and Hawaii who are still struggling for independence from their colonial occupiers.

Japan has no rights to speak or lecture anyone when they had committed crimes.

During the 1980s when Japan was economically strongest nation in all Asia, the USA and its Western allies contained Japan. Japan never recovered, with friends like that, Japan don't need enemies.
