Just a small note, if you defined ourSong in the onCreate method, wouldn't the music stop anyway after onCreate is finished because ourSong goes out of scope ?
I haven't tried it yet so I might be wrong.

Thanks man! Was driving me a bit nutty. Even switching the emulator off and on again didn't work, and it takes a long time to close the emulator and load it up again.

WHen I run my app, there is no sound output :(.. used the exact code, no errors in the project, spoundpool in raw folder, volume of the avd turned up. y?
