Thanks so much for this video. I went to buy Airpods 3rd Gen, they were obviously perfectly packaged, almost impossible to tell. So I forced the seller to let me open them, insisting I will buy them if legit. Of course almost immediately it became apparent - the two strips didn't peel off correctly. Then the plastic wrapping was wrong. Then, when opening the case, the light was a tell-tale green, and I got the 'not your airpods' message on my phone. So obvious the guy was trying to scam me, thanks to your video! Just saved me 150 euro!

I definitely got the fake ones. Since the beginning I was wondering if they were new because of how they came in the box and the charging case seems too flimsy. But didn’t even considered they could be fake!
Interesting to see how “great” counterfeit they make nowadays. I was easily tricked into thinking they were real.
Will definitely buy them directly from Apple now.
