Mumbai Beach Clean-Up

August 6-7, 2016. UN Patron of the Oceans Lewis Pugh participated in the largest beach clean-up in history at Versova Beach in Mumbai, India.

To the people who say Indian have no respect for the oceans.. if you look at the video, it is full of Indian cleaning the beach. Thus, when you live with the hunger preoccupation, you may understand that environment is not at the top of priorites. Moreover, sanitary and environment preoccupation is growing slowly with toilets development and recycling politics. Give them some time, Europe and industrialized countries have polluted much more since the industrial revolution to the 20th century.

Indians need to start watching the tv show Captain Planet, got to educate the kids while their young and change the culture. The government also needs to provide proper trash bins and routine collection and disposal.

It's not about a cultural problem. Let's just say in the developed nations, there are proper way of disposing trash. If we visit the landfills and pull up stats, it's equally appalling. Quit your high horses.
