The 1st teacher your children encounter is their mother....and God forbid your husband, sole provider, passes away....then you're left with kids, no marketable skills, and alone struggling to make it. An uneducated skillless woman is easily controlled and dominated by a man with resources because she herself has resigned to the fact she needs him...when in all actuality women were created because man needed her not vice versa.

I'm not a Muslim but a young woman that I went to high school with was a Muslim. She never missed a day of school and was our valedictorian. I recently saw her at our local hospital and she became a doctor. I was so proud of her! Shame on any Muslim man believing that only 1% of their sisters are capable of achieving in the medical profession!

A modern society that relies on these modern conveniences requires a workforce consisting of both men and women. Education is important regardless of what you think. I'm Muslim and if my husband told me I wasn't allowed to be educated I would be astounded. I'm not sure if it's in Quran, hadith or both but Allah asks us to always look for knowledge and to increase in knowledge for as long as you are alive you will always have things to learn. Even if you think it may not be beneficial at the time it could help you massively in the future or it could even save someone with the knowledge you have. You also need to realise that this is the same mentality as extremists. The taliban have completely stripped women off of their education from what I have read recently. This isn't normal and the first university was made by a Muslim woman for the exact reason that it is beneficial to everyone and not just men (if that is what you are assuming). I am a revert and even listening to this is shocking.. you are turning Islam into something it is not. The quran makes up for about 3% of rules while the rest is morals and ethics, yet you choose to sit there and talk about this. This isn't a good impression of our religion brother with all due respect.


Edit: I also want to talk about my mother who stopped getting educated after a car crash which ruined her whole chance of education. After that she got depressed and started drinking alcohol and smoking. Education could have dug into her brain that this wasn't right, instead, she was in hospital 24/7 for years with no motivation to do anything. She wanted to seek knowledge but she couldn't just like everyone else had the freedom to. My childhood was pretty much ruined when she got addicted to alcohol and because she was uneducated she didn't care less or realise how it made me feel. You have no right to tell anyone who deserves to be educated and who doesn't.

A woman must be educated. She can ve feminine, nurturing, preparing the next generation, & educated. That's why she needs education ! She is a homeschooling teacher to a man's children ! And that man is terribly abusive taking her for granted, unappreciative and looking around for youngsters to duck it in!
