A brief overview of GAZ 69A (1970).

My grandfather had one that he bought from the army. It was made in 1972 and people would come over in the winter in the middle of the night to ask grandfather to pull their cars out when they were stuck in the snow or in the mud! My 3 uncles, my brother and I we all learned how to drive in that car… so many memories…
Thank you for rescuing and preserving all those beautiful cars for the future generations!

Oh damn! What a beauty😍 I saw one here in India in a tattered condition. Couldn't really make out either the make or the model until I did a bit of research online. And then, I saw this video 😍 Kudos to the owner & the restoration team. I can only imagine how many small little things were required to be sourced, or restored or made to its factory bundle!

Wow! This is amazingly restored, a real beauty! We had a sligtly different versin of this old vehicle in our hang-gliding club, like 25 years ago, but it was in a much worse condition: it fired on three cylinders max, you had to hold the second gear with your hand, otherwise it jumped out and you definitely needed some training to be able to push in the third gear. Plus the gas tank was leaking, so we just had an extra portable tank in the cabin, with a rubber hose going into the engine... :)
