Driving Old Soviet Jeep Through River

Daring drivers take an ageing car from the seventies through a river in a difficult off road challenge.

Technician Nikita Romanov, 19, from Azarychy, Belarus, filmed as his Uncle Alexander Litvinchuk, 32, drove his 48-year-old SUV through a two metre deep ditch.

The car is a Soviet GAZ 69 made in 1973, but has since undergone plenty of renovation and updates to allow it to take on these challenges.

A new engine has been installed, as well as a gearbox, new seats, wheels, a winch and even a snorkel to allow the vehicle to be submerged in water.
