This conversation is 100% part of the problem. Discussing what is best for Rishi and the Conservative party is frankly insulting. What about what's best for the country? Next to no legislation being debated or considered for the foreseeable future. Prioritising their own survival, feathering nests, and salting the earth for the next government. Ridiculous.

Whether or not Sunak goes, the fact that within 5 years, Sunak is the 4th Tory PM to have his party swimming round like sharks. It is the most supreme irony that Cameron called the EU referendum to settle the squabbles within his party. I think we need to go back to the 1760s to find comparable levels of instability.

All the money in the world maybe, but "wrong" colour? At school he may have been the odd one out and that would have made him resilient from personal attacks, and made him able to cope with such attacks. He has to be shown the door, he is not leaving on his own volition.

It's wishful thinking to assume that with slightly improved economic metrics, voters will return to the Conservatives. Even when inflation and interest rates fall to target, many will still be worse off now than they were 5 years ago. Add to that, the fact that people can see with their own eyes that public services are crumbling around them with no improvement in sight, and there really isn't any good reason to vote for the Conservatives.
