Lantana is such an awesome plant! When I lived in Vegas two years ago, I discovered that Lantana was the only plant that generously released a strong, awakening smell among other desert plants.

We also have plenty of colorful lantanas in New York City. Whenever I come across lantana plants, I always pluck out a few flowers to breathe in its distinctively assertive smell. It feels like saying HI to an old friend.

I live in middle Georgia and my Latana are planted in / on pine tree shavings, rich black soil, and in full sun. They grow abundant and as big a my ford focus. I keep them pruned a lot. They attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and are always blooming. I never water them and they really thrive. When I planted them, I thought they were going to be small, but they really took off.

Thank you for showing the positive side of lantana. Some videos seen to concentrate on their various problems but you showed me different ways to use it. Personally, I love it. I guess I'll know more as my three new lantanas grow bigger. Lol. I don't mind pruning at all. I spend alot of time just observing my plants trying to learn their various ways, removing dead branches or leaves, inspecting for pests (snails are terrible this year), etc. There's so much to learn! Thank goodness lantana can take care of itself if I'm gone for a bit. You made me more confident in that. Thanks again!

I bought a lot of Lantana this pass week the red and orange ones mostly reds and throw some daisy in between look so gorgeous! I live in Az and i don't have time to water it daily. But i love gardening so trimmings and is piece of cake for me lol

I just had mine attacked by Lace Bugs. I put some Neem oil on them and they are already looking a lot better. I believe there is one other type of Lantana. Mounding Lantana. I have them in my front yard.

In Tucson, there are yellow lantanas that grow like the purple lantanas, the plant just spreads out wide.

Our Lantana got wild pig eat all when our friend forgot shot the back gate during we went to vocation on this May. Today I got a lantana yellow flower at Walmart. So it will like yours so big and tall?? Thanks

Why are there no butterflies? Lantana is very popular with butterflies.
