Hi sir.

This question was in my recent mock, however my working out / approach to this question is different even though I still arrived at C being = 3.

I chose to use the sine rule instead, (dont ask why I used the angle 22.5, but that was because i did 180-135 = 45) 45/2 = 22.5).

I then set up the equation

2c/sin22.5 = 6/22.5

solving for C

I still got C as 3

I was wondering if this approach is still valid and mathematically correct? And if I would still receive full marks even though I used sine instead of tan and used a rather weird angle. (if there is any alternative methods in the marks scheme)
