There are six stages, you need to stop playing on Rookie difficulty if you think there are only 5.

Now that's a game the way they were made back in the day and the way they are supposed to work.
Pure fun. No chat with ranting teens, no "in-game economy", no "vast open world", no bullshit.
Just mash the buttons, pile that score, die, restart then rinse and repeat.
If you get frustrated, shut it down and stay away until you want to take it out on that boss once again.

With respect to the reviewer, I don't believe this review did the game justice. Nex Machina is near flawless and my current favorite PS4 game. The graphics, music, pace, and difficulty are so fine tuned it is a joy to play every single time.

IMO opinion if you are having the problem with dying, and then dying again and again, you are simply playing this game on too hard a difficulty, and are doing yourself and the game a disservice. This game is HARD on the higher settings, and was designed as much. My friend and I beat it on normal in 54 min it's the first time we played it.

Kudos to Housemarque for once again making a near pitch-perfect arcade shooter. Can't WAIT for Matterfall this fall!!
