Great video Jon,
To try and shed some light on how these products work the dyes used have to meet a criteria of being on the higher end of solubility in in order to actually colour the foam, and also have a colour locking functionality. We are still developing ours but some of the dyes used are commonly used in the textiles industry, for example fabric softener, its often blue or pink for example but dosnt stain your whites. We are adopting similar technology in our product as well as adding a fragrance.

Overall it is essentially a redundant element of the product and purely for aesthetics, some will buy into it some wont.

Used both collored and normal white, it does the same job only difference i have noticed is that the collored product is easy to see if you havent rinsed it all off, witch is great. Cuz on a dark car you get marks after soaps anyway if it aint rinsed off and on white cars it is easier to see the product when rinsing it off.

If I’m not mistaken, soaps are colored anyway aren’t they? I don’t see how a “colored” snow foam would be any different.

It’s kinda cool to have coloured snow foam but I imagine the novelty would quickly fade and you would end up with the bottle at the back of the cupboard for years to come.

A while back when I knew little on detailing, I used pink Pro Kleen snow foam, which stained my engine cover. Nothing I did would remove it sadly.

I use this snow foam to promote my “Premium” detailing washes. Basic wash packages get the traditional white foam.

I use citrus pre wash out of a pump sprayer I then hose down and then do the two bucket method is there really any need for me to snow foam before all this ?

I bet it's stained the plastic tube that goes in the snow foam bottle.the plastic tube connected to the metal snow foam gun??..

I know what you mean about the staining when its neat, we've got the same issue in the lab and as you said, getting it on your gloves is a pain in the arse. We ended up buying a 20ml syringe with a non drip tube on it to decant from one container to another.

Did you get some in your washing machine?

I use prokleen strawberry which looks pink. I believe it was a guy with a Ferrari who had trouble with a red stain. It was under the engine cover which was been stained.
If recommended dozes are used, as with anything problems should not arise. Another good review john.
