One major impediment to my mediation was that the mother was anchored in the position that she was going to be the primary custodial parent. And she was anchored in that position because for 2 years the judge continued rubber stamping the mother while ignoring the facts of the case and the evidence and the best interest of the child. So we had to go to trial. And as the father I won primary custody. So if the judge is making temporary custody orders based on little knowledge of the facts, it is important to not let this anchor either parent, instead of focusing on what is truly best for the child.

When you mention "holiday" schedule, do you mean your work holidays? For a father interested in more time w/ child, but work schedule only permits 30/70, what is reasonable to request? Child is young and not yet school age. Can Dad request all holidays, such as memorial Day, Vetran's Day... Realize that major holidays must be shared. Thanks for the into!

Hello I'm based out of TX my wife has joint custody with her fathers children but he is very hard to deal with. I've seen where you can get a 3rd party to step in and help between the parents, there is no talking to the father and he is very disrespectful and has condescending behavior. Is a 3rd party to help meditate future exchanges possible. I'm at my last and ready to handle it the old school way lol but trying to stay as positive as possible but he likes to push buttons there shouldn't be a reason my wife should have to talk to him at all if we can get a 3rd person to help exchange the co-parenting between the 2

I had a judge that took my case in 2019 and I knew she knew my ex and she only took my ex husband part like as a trail. Idk the judge didn't say I can't take this case because I know this people she just went took the case.
