Xbox Power brick/supply dies when plugged into Xbox ***Serious Fix***

My Xbox power supply got the “orange line of death” and after a day and a half of messing around I finally found a fix that turned my power supply back on. If you’re having a problem give this a try

Tried your fix but my brick won’t get past the orange light it either stays orange or goes out completely when plugged too far. Can’t get a white one to be able to start the Xbox. Tried for about an hour. Glad it worked for so many others though.

If it doesn't work then blow into the four tiny gaps from the Power Brick and it should work

I may try this. Two days ago this happend to me. My power brick would have an orange light on when I plugged it into the wall, but the second I plugged it into the Xbox, the power brick turned off. Ive been trying to hard power it but to no success. This might work. I'm just hoping my power brick doesn't catch fire or something while I'm doing it.

Sounds like the terminals on PCB from power cord are coming loose. Just need to reflow the, or add fresh, solder. Done this for industrial equipment PSUs, 480v AC to 24v DC. That "static sound" is arcing electricity, the arcing can heat the solder and make the connection slightly better, temporarily.
Edit: after opening it up (don't do this, very dangerous voltages and potential for electric shock) there's three failed capacitors (16v 2200 micro farad). The input power connections look very solid, well-made.
