Texas judge could end access to abortion medication mifepristone nationwide

I don't understand the claim that the FDA didn't have the authority to approve the drug. Their PRIMARY job is to approve drugs. So how is that even a valid claim? Sure, one might argue the data behind the decision or bias or whatever, but to say they lack the authority is laughable. How is this case not thrown out on its face for being unfounded and without standing?

This ruling will affect miscarriages too. My sister can't complete her miscarriage properly because her state has banned mifepristone and she doesn't want a D&C (it can cause cervical scarring and she wants to keep trying to have a baby). She doesn't want to take misoprostol alone because she did that for her last miscarriage and it was super painful, it can be more painful than in combination with mifepristone. Also, mifepristone + misoprostol is more effective for completing a miscarriage. So now my sister is suffering. She wanted that baby. It's not her fault she had a miscarriage. Now she is traveling to my state so she can finish her miscarriage because my state allows mifepristone.

The GQP seems determined to force women to use old toxic home remedies for pregnancy termination instead of using safe modern medications. Women will terminate pregnancies they don't want it only remains to be seen if they will be able to use SAFE methods.
