Appeals court blocks federal judge's ruling on Texas GOP in-person convention

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said an appeals court has overruled a federal judge’s decision that allowed the Texas GOP to hold an in-person convention at the GRB.

Not being allowed to use the GRB convention center does not keep the Texas GOP from speaking so it does not violate their right to free speech. Nowhere in the Constitution is the right to a venue granted. Bad decision from the federal judge.
