Claude Monet’s Water Garden filled with water lilies at Giverny in Normandy, France

Claude Monet's Japanese water garden inspired his final waterlily paintings which now hang in Musée de l'Orangerie, Paris. Monet would spend hours beside his pond watching in silence as the clouds and patches of blue passed over the garden.
