The older Filipino ladies at work used to slip me Skyflakes like candy. They are so much better than saltines!

As someone who doesnt know much international things, I am shocked that Sky Flakes isnt worldwide. Some other things you might not know is exclusive to PH is:
Jolibee doesnt offer gravy in other countries except Philippines
Calamansi is actually called a 'Philippine Lime'
I was so shocked

My parents ate sardines with Saltines and hot mustard and hot sauce along with smoked oysters because they were raised by their grandparents and that’s what they ate in their childhoods.

Me?… it’s a thing I only eat if there no bones and no skin on the sardines. I usually can get one down. I can eat a can of smoked oysters.

I’m Black. African American.

Skyflakes makes me happy. All of my old coworkers would bring me a tin of Skyflakes back from visiting home. It was a running office joke. 😂😂😂❤

I grew up eating saltines and canned sardines or mackerel with spicy mustard or horseradish! Don’t know how it started but it’s a tradition in our family of Baltimoreans 🤷‍♀️

Yo, I'm chinese, and this is one of my childhood snacks too. Oh, this is what I eat when I was a kid. My grandma would cook some rice, place it in a small bowl, and mix it with lard with some soy sauce, some times she put fry egg mix with it. She would also cook some vegetables with garlic, oyster sauce, msg, salt, pepper and sugar as side dish to eat along with it. Love your video and cooking.

(Sorry, if my English was a mess to read it's not my first language and I'm still learning.)

I love how when I visited Batangas recently, when I was on the highway to Manila, you can see a huge statue display of the sardine can. It was so funny and random to me 😂
