They say a finished copy of Winds of Winter is lost somewhere in Old Valyria

I know GRRM wants to keep the Doom mysterious but I'd love to see it in live action

Im reading Fire & Blood at the moment. Im really enjoying the fact that it is like reading a history book.

Fascinating, George. You know what would be even more fascinating? The Winds of fucking Winter.

Why does this look like a documentary that you’d see on the history channel 😂

Can you imagine it tho. The Targaryen’s were a lower ranked family in old Valyria and before they left they took 2 eggs ( vhagar and meraxes I believe) and 1 baby dragon (balerion). And look at the size of them. Now imagine the higher ranked family’s in old Valyria and the size of their dragons 😳. Also remember that in old Valyria they used blood magic on the eggs before they hatched which caused the dragons to be a lot bigger. Hence why cannibal and other older dragons born in Westeros were smaller. Also the fact that they kept the others in pits.

The Doom of Valyria sounds like it was heavily inspired by the Fall of Numenor.
(J.R.R. Tolkien)
Both stories are likely inspired by the destruction of Atlantis as described by Plato.

I love how he tells the story as if he didn’t completely pull it all out of his brain

Will never forget Moqorros line
“The sky is always red above Valyria, Hugor Hill” something about it just gives me chills

I love the lore of this world more than I like the books. I could listen to his talk about the lore for hours and let my imagination fill in the gaps. This particular story reminds of Lovecraft's 'The Doom That Came to Sarnath' Just enough information given to paint a picture that becomes more vibrant every time you go back to it and imagine what it would have been like

Bro explained it like he was a history professor on a documentary about something from the Roman empire

It’s crazy how we are so I intrigued into the history of game of thrones as if it actually happened in real life. This writers are just unbelievable in writing their stories so in-depth.
