As a 41 year old man I will tell you what I want in a relationship. 1. I want to have a purpose in the relationship. 2. I want respect and honesty from my partner 3. I want a peaceful home. Where i can come home from work and have peace and love with her.

As a 52-year-old man I agree with this, but I also feel that communication above. Everything else is the most important thing. Curiosity about each other is so important asking questions and really hearing each other and being available for each other is so important. After going through some very toxic relationships, this is what I’ve learned from them. I also feel all of this should be within the man also to allow the woman to also be able to show up. And I see in my past how I was not able to show up in this way so I was not receiving that either. I am a big believer that it’s a two-way street what you asked for you should begiving.

Nice Video. My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love him so much I can't stop thinking about him, l've tried my very best to get him back in my life, but to no avail, I'm frustrated, I don't see my life as anyone else. I've done my best to get rid of the thoughts of him, but I can't, I don't know why I'm saying this here, I really miss him and just can't stop thinking about him.

If being with her doesn’t bring me peace it makes me not want to be with her. If I can be more at peace with myself than I can while I’m with her then why would I be with her?

I want home to be a save place I can relax and unwind and be vulnerable in. If there isn’t peace my guard is always up and having your guard up in your own home is extremely stressful and unhealthy.

This respect, acceptance, and affection stems from the 5 F’s that a Man wants in a relationship; FUN, FIT, FRIENDLY, FEMININE( the opposite of being a masculine Feminist and taking a Man’s Lead), and the most important FAITHFULNESS(she won’t stray and cheat!) a 6th F is Fertility if he wants Children!

I am not ok with patterns of betrayals, the triangulation and the inability to see me and love me therefore I don’t carry that respect for him. I really agree that when wounded we more likely to exposed to relationship that we would otherwise not accept, so it all comes back to “us” the problem is “us” not them.

Here’s something really small but it goes a long way and can apply in many areas. For example, if he drives you around, such as to do grocery shopping. Thank him for doing it and show appreciation for doing it such as holding his hand and giving him a little peck on the cheek. It will make him want to do it more and reminds him that you know you don’t deserve it and therefore appreciating the luxury. You don’t deserve anything unless you work to be able to be deserving of things. That means you need to offer something to deserve these luxuries.
