The first Scorn album recorded solo by Mick Harris, released in 1995 on Earache. A departure from the previous albums, this one is deep and minimal with a new palette of bass textures and beats that would continue to evolve on the following releases.

Scorn is no longer active, but you can pick up the final releases from Ohm Resistance here:

To this day, no one has yet been able to measure how freaking sick "Far In Out" is.

I remember when this came out it was a double LP at the record store and I bought it without listening. I had no idea Bullen had left and I recall thinking how amazing a trip hop record this was. You could get lost in each song.

Mick has made some amazing work, I wish he knew that many people appreciate his talent.

'Hush' is easily in the top 25 best Scorn songs, IMO.
It's the song I remember, when I remember this record.
Many youthful, confused days spent out in the suburban North American Wasteland to these sounds.

All of the Earache records are long overdue for reissue on .180 gram vinyl and remastered. While we are at it, all of the early Techno Animal records and all of the God records. The first Ice record as well. This group of musicians are criminally underrated. That late 90s thing these guys had is due for serious reexamination.

Mick is a genius, I loved Nic don't get me wrong but \Mick is a legend, first with Napalm Death & then going 180 degrees in another direction with Scorn.

I love Hush, it's kinda Silent Hill'ish track <3 Best track from this album! Six Hours One Week is a close second. This album definitely sounds better than Logghi Barogghi!

This album would be great with some other albums, other songs or artist that have this eerie beat. Maybe like The Prunes - Tracks from the Darkside, Grotus, 2 Mello - atmospheric horror album and probably some Silent Hill tracks that is very chill. Furthermore, these songs should be played in a rainy, or foggy atmospheric country/city drive like in the night or some what close to the morning.

"Dark" is because of the lights down, the feelings or both?

Dommage qu'il y ait autant de publicités. Ça gâche vraiment l'écoute!
