Have an XR, getting a 14 Pro tomorrow. Several reasons to switch, cracks in the XR screen, I’m into photography, OLED screen on 14 Pro, battery on XR getting worse. But I must say it feels like parting from an old friend. The XR has been flawless these 4 years and served me well. Hope I will develop Sam feeling for the 14 Pro.

I came from using an iPhone 11 which is basically the same phone as this thing but with an extra camera. Same LCD display, notch, aluminum band and all that. My parents surprised me with the purple 14 pro the other day. Even though purple isn’t my favorite color, this deep purple is fire. Both the XR and the 11 still hold up to this day and are grate phones.

I have the 14promax and Xr still at 84% battery life after 4 years of use. Still a good phone and works very well. Tho age for the IOS version makes it slow at times.

5:10 “soo much faster, such a big difference” anyone else blink and miss the millisecond faster the 14 is? Camera lens is a plus forsure. Thx for the comparison

I am planning on upgrading my XR to a 14 Pro but at the moment I don’t have the money for it. I’ve had my XR since 2020. Battery health is at 84%.


EDIT: I’m actually gonna wait till the 15/16 series since my XR is running fine and i no longer have battery issues

Dropped my XR in a gutter in Fort Lee one day. Popped the man hole and got it out. Must’ve fell 6 feet no issues with the phone. Hit the brakes too hard in my car and my iPhone 14 Pro 1TBs back cracked in a cheap case. Build quality on XR was better. Service also has sucked on this phone with Verizon Tbh. As the updates are ringing out it’s supposed to be getting better. Had to get a new E Sim on the phone with a tier 2 tech after talking to Verizon about the service. It’s been better today tbh. The dynamic Island is really cool too. It’s a great phone especially with the updates storage. But not as durable. If my service stays the way it has been today I’ll be happy with it. Pissed about the back cracking so soon though. But Verizon took my XR for 800$ so I got well paid for the hat as a trade in.

I used the iphone 7 for a very long time and updatet to the XR 2 years ago. I didn‘t have the money for anything higher but i was like hey idc iphone‘s are really fast and responsive anyways… 2 maybe 2 and a half years later i def feel the lagging on the XR and it‘s driving me CRAZY. Probably gonna update to an 14 pro next year when the 15‘s out. Not cool apple.
