If as you say that the Sphinx was built by a lost civilization with a forgotten culture, pre dating the Giza Pyramids, my question would be - who taught that lost civilization ? They must have gotten their ability to construct huge stone edifices from someone or somewhere? Where did it all begin and how long ago ? People didn't wake up one morning after having slept under the stars and declared " let's build a monument that will last forever and bamboozle everyone trying to figure it all out " ? Did they ? Couldn't have ..surely not ?

The head could have been placed here long before the body. The head was prefabricated from blocks. You can clear see the tigh joints. Someone later built up this sloppy Nemes. Whoever made the head would have constructed it with the prefabricated parts and you would also see the joints in the Nemes. The hole in the head? A bolt or anchor could be stuck in the bedrock here, and the blocks that make up the head are fixed here. An Egyptian quarry owner says that the head parts are made from volcanic rock, and the sloppy Nemes from limestone. Also the Body carved from the limestone bedrock.

Someone needs to get stucco, and go all over the face and fill in and smooth out the entire surface of the face, and restore other damages of time, so that the real face of the Sphinx can reappear. Need to re-clad the entire body of the Sphinx, and are they taking so long to do that, and save the body of the Sphinx and that of the neck and head as well.
