Finally Broke some of our nodule open, knew there was something good inside this could feel it. Now we know there is something is inside it the ball has since gone to somebody that can show you what is inside properly. Going off the pictures we took we've been told this is a rare specimen.
Warning, cutting these open with a dry saw produces toxic dust that can create lung problems

Found a pebble with a small fish fossil a few weeks ago next to the river by Thompson's Park.

Loved it that is a big fossil well done nothing monkey so interesting luck well nice when you opened it up beautiful

The scaley looking bits might be Lepidodendron (scale tree) it's what alot of the coal is made up of as far as I understand

Guys stop.... using the grinder and the hammers. get a gorilla bucket pop that in ( the whole thing) fill it up with water and get it in a freezer. thaw it out then dry it out infront of a raidator. repeat. its a pretty big node could be a large foss or a nice collection. goin hammer and tong will just break them. also fools gold is toxic wash yo hands after handling. ( seems to be a lot of fools gold)
