Amy at the slumber party is exactly the kind of awkward humour which I love in this show. Also most of them were rather uncomfortably funny than cringeworthy (e.g. Sheldon being oblivious to his own actions). The ones which were actually cringeworthy were all the times which the guys hit on women, especially Howard and also Raj fantasizing about women. And let's not forget the robot arm thing which was the absolute cringefest.

By the way, am I the only one who remembers Howard's cousin/first time love partner appearing in season 8 as Stuart's date? It never gets mentioned by this channel.

I know you mentioned Howard's pick-up tactics, but how about his ableist "the old, the sick and the lame" thing, where he says something like "if you see a girl with a seeing eye dog, she's mine". I love Big Bang, and I know this is still when Howard the character is a creep, but way to perpetuate the view that blind women are desperate, stupid, or just generally second prize.

Comedy is supposed to have some cringe in it. There are limits, of course. I will say that abandoning Howard's obsession with "The Mystery Method" (which was what his pick up tactics were based in) starting season three was a good call.
