In this video, Dr. Adam DeTora outlines how ethics and the law apply to situations in the NICU. He explains how statutory laws differ from case laws, and presents case studies to show how both kinds of laws influence medical decisions. He also breaks down the role of the parent or caregiver, and what happens in cases where medical decisions are not clear-cut.

Well presented! Very well organized and straight to the point. Did a nice job about explaining law and precedents. It would be nice to do a follow-up presentation as a roundtable to have different points of view for practicing Neonatologists.
Might want to include physicians not treating cases they feel are futile. Also might want to discuss more about Ethics Committees that might be helpful if time permits.
Overall-Excellent presentation.
