I Bought a Refurbished Steam Deck instead of the OLED - Any Good?

Everybody seems to love the new OLED Steam Deck, but is a refurbished LCD model actually the better move?

The LCD models are often overlooked now that the OLED Deck exists, but despite being inferior in some ways, the LCD Decks are significantly cheaper, especially on the refurbished side.

I bought a refurbished Steam Deck and this video covers the unboxing as well as my initial experiences with it.

The ratio of benefit to cost greatly favors the LCD models. I just bought the 512 LCD for $357 delivered. The next available model was the 512 OLED and would be $225 more delivered. Very few people could get %63 more enjoyment out of the more expensive model. I’d much rather have $225 for games or to invest or to put towards a Steam Deck 2.

IMO The LCD version is still the best one to look if money is a concern, there are honestly not significant changes that the OLED has with the LCD.
