This is horrible. I'm old, but a skeptic, and would NEVER respond to a weird call, text, or email. If you are concerned because of an `emergency' you are notified of, call back using the number you have, or look up the number. If your loved one is in trouble, call the court or arresting agency for legitimate information. The recent technology that allows cloning a voice through AI is leading to these fraud scenarios. It's best not to even use your own voice to record a greeting for your cell phone, just use the system's.

It is sad she lost her money. But on the bright side, there was ONE person who backed out and didnt pick up the money by saying he couldnt do that. IF we can find out who he was he should get a reward of at least 1k so he can roll over on the others who should get years in prison for taking advantage of our folks.
