Jim Lee's voice is so fucking calming that I've fallen asleep a few times to these drawing tutorials

A trick I did early on to help me out was to literally draw a faint, miniature little light bulb wherever I wanted to depict my light source coming from. It's great for consistency and you don't have to imagine what the cast shadows might be as much.

At the end, of course, you can go back and erase it. Again, it's a great little tip for beginners to help maintain consistency with their light sources.

This is some great incidental asmr! Jim Lee draws my favorite version of Batman. I love the way his cowl fits. It’s like fabric that is tight on Batman’s head, and you can see the shape of his ears through it. Love love love it.
