Full mage with a custom absorb health spell on target and the staff that casts levitate, plus boots of blinding speed and a counter constant clothing to negate its effect. Literally a god. I love me some Morrowind

For daggers the damage threshold is usually very small, meaning the minimum damage is high-ish with not much difference to the max damage, so it's worth quick spamming the attack, which is intentional since the idea for dagger combat is usually a bunch of weak but fast hits

You're not going to hit much without Agility, either. It's an often neglected stat.

More important than this, though these were all brilliant tips, the Agility stat determines your ability to land/dodge attacks.

Get the Boots of Blinding Speed and make a 1 (or 2) second 100% Dispel cast-on-self spell to use every time you put on the boots in order to avoid the “blinding” part of the effect.

Then you can move at a reasonable speed without draining your stamina.

Also enchant something you wear with a Slowfall spell of strength 1 and you’ll never take any fall damage even tho you’ll fall at regular speed.

When leveling a skill, its better to spam, cause leveling is proportional to 'number' of confirmed hits, rather than the damage amount. Spam away on those Rats all day. Once you get a higher level, holding becomes more effective because you can actually hit things.

-Side note: holding attacks eats up more Stamina. Wasting your swings at lower level is punishing. All the more reason to level up the skilll.

if You want to get a skill to 100 and level up fast too then find and buy a drain skill spell and make a spell make sure you have a lot of money like over 3500 gold Then find your drain skill spell in spell making menu and then make it's magnitude 100 and duration 3 and make it a self spell make sure to pick the skill you want to level up then make it and find the trainer you need and cast the spell and train with him for 1 gold then it will reset back to the original skill level + 1 only for 1 gold then keep repeating for max skill

If you will pick a weapon type for a major skill, like Long Blade, don't use weapons that are not in that category, even if they deal more damage. Most skills in the game start very low, so using a weapon you have no experience with will only get you killed during combat.

Anyone who uses mods to get rid of hit chance is going to hell for ruining one of gods greatest gifts to mankind. It genuinely makes the combat so much more interesting because when you use spells & potions to stat boost so you can kiII an enemy who’s way stronger than you it’s so much more satisfying than the way it feels to fight a higher level enemy in Skyrim

Nice tip for new players and using melee is to also pick the birth sign that gives plus agility. Weapon skill + Agility + how much Fatigue you have affect your chance to hit
