speedrunners use a dungeon brick instead of a chest and begin throwing dynamite before the summon is used, leading to the destroyer dying within 5-10 dynamite

Quick tip:
By putting a holy key (crafted with 15 souls of light) in the chest the dynamite does alot more damage so youll just need about 20 dynamite

You could also place 2 empty chests next to one another, and it has the same effect. We use this same strat for Eater of Worlds in the speedrun.

And also make sure to throw those dynamites before spawning the boss. Because thats the only place the destroyer will be on so you can hit every single part of the boss for a few seconds

You can kill it in one second and its very easy start to throw dynamite wait 4 seconds and if destroyer spawned in dynaimte area it would be killed

You can obliteate destroyer using this strategy but a little more optimaly. You need to built this higher and that chest has to be at least 49 blocks bellow you. Then you throw 5 dynamite and immediatly spawn destroyer and continue throwing (it minght not do anythig but just to make sure). Since you are that high in air and blocks with chest is only valid position to spawn destroyer all of his segments are going to be concentrated. If you just spawn him and then start throwing its not fast enough and it will just fall and despawn.

Y’all I cannot even begin to explain how long I’ve been stuck on this fight. Idk why I’m so bad at the game, I have not beat any of the mech bosses yet, have full titanium, the power mace or whatever it’s called, got an arena.
