As the person behind this channel being a total introvert in public she'd say that ichiran is probably worth hype

I recently got to go to Ichiran in NY Times Square while I was visiting NYC. We don't have it here in Europe at all so I was super excited to try it 🥹 AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT. $22 for that bowl of Ramen and it was worth every penny, I wanted a bowl of just the broth because it was that delicious omg. 10/10 recommend! I would love to eat at Ichiran again soon😭

1. I love places where is fully acceptable to go eat by yourself
2. You get places that allow you to grill your own meat to your exact liking in complete privacy, cmon, places like this are unmatched globally I feel
3. I’d smash all that food down with a ice cold as asahi beer
4. I wish to visit Japan one day

Ichiran is probably one of the best ramens I’ve ever had. So it’s worth the hype

ichiran is good for what it is, just “pricier” because of tourtists frequently the place. ichiran is fantastic in fact, there isn’t anything inherently wrong with the place. the best type of ramen you’ll get, not just in taste but in style and care, is in small villages in japan without english google reviews, sometimes hardly any good reviews at all, and off the beaten path usually down some corridor and hidden upstairs or something alike.

to make ichiran better if it cold and they serve it hot is a chef kiss

I haven’t tried Ichiran in its origin country Japan but they have opened some locations here in Hong Kong which I’ve tried. Super mediocre. Around a third more expensive than an average bowl of ramen in HK, without the bowl of toppings (therefore much less meat than other ramen places, and no egg or seaweed). If you add the topping bowl it will be twice the price of other places. The taste was also on the saltier side, with double spicy being milder than what most people would consider spicy. The noodle portions were also small. I do wish to go to Japan to try Ichiran though, as I have heard it is much better

Ichiran was not the very best Ramen I had when I was in Japan, but it was still incredibly good, especially considering it's a chain.
