The final boss Kratos has to face: forgiving himself.

Its funny how finding Jesus would unironically work towards Kratos's character development

I unironicly want Jesus as the end of Kratos journey. Kratos being finally forgiven.

It feels kinda rare that I find a corner of culture that treats Christianity so carefully and accurately, so it’s super heartwarming to see in these memes

All jokes aside, that image of Jesus taking Kratos’ ashen skin is legit.

It would be sick if Kratos and Jesus teamed up to fight satan lol

I grew up in a Christian household but am no longer religious, but the line “Kratos, lay all your burdens upon me” is such a great concept

I can imagine Jesus saving Kratos from some lethal blow and giving a little speech along the lines of, "This isn't the first time I have died for others"

Kratos meeting Jesus would be a very powerful interaction. Meeting the son of God and hearing that despite his past sins he is still loved and shown forgiveness by another God would be kinda moving to see. I may not be religious but I'd still be moved by something that deep.

After the Valhalla dlc I am certain Jesus would see Kratos and the only thing he would want to say to him is "I'm proud of how far you have come"

I would imagine a scenario of Kratos crossing paths with Jesus:
Kratos comes across a simple hut, and Jesus doing some simple carpentry. Jesus jokingly says that He doesnt get much visitors and just happily invites him over lunch, Kratos was hesitant but Jesus insisted. Eventually, they have a good conversation more similar to the act of confession in actual church setting.

By post-endgame, you return to the hut, it was occupied by an elderly shepherd with a family. Kratos asked where the former occupant was. The shepherd replied that the man simply left just like that when he and his family were just asking him if they could stay for the night, by next morning he was just gone and all that remained was a letter stating that everything including the hut is theirs. Showing the letter to Kratos, with the old man replying "Peculiar fellow, that one. But he's a kind host nonetheless, quite a sight to see men like that nowadays"

*"I once met a God that was equal parts mortal and immortal."*
"Really? What was he like?"
*"He made water into wine"*
"And then what?"
*"I do not remember"*

Kratos fighting Charlie will be one of the most epic cinematic death battle in history

I’d love to have another Joshua Graham situation in the god of war series. A character, or characters, so well written they actually make people religious or influence people morally.

Honestly I'd love it. A god defined by his regrets and literally covered in his sin never allowed to forget his past, meeting a God who's entire personality is surrounded by the idea of forgiveness.

It warms my heart seeing the Jesus-Kratos meme with Jesus still loving him despite the things he has done

As a Christian. I would absolutely love to see that game.

Edit: if you reading the comments. Bring with you some popcorn. Also those who think Jesus and Kratos would fight, hate to ruin your parade. Considering Kratos is currently developing as a character that is going trying to help other gods/characters not make the mistakes he made. He probably end up getting forgiveness from Christ and that being the resolution of his story.

I think if god of war ever had a ending kratos meeting Jesus and realizing he doesn’t have to fight anymore would be pretty wholesome No double crossing no evil gods just an old spartan and a carpenter hanging out

Kratos' story is one of forgiveness. Freya's forgiveness of him. Atreus' forgiveness of him. The people of the nine realms not forgiving Odin. His inability to forgive himself. If the final step of his story was not forgiveness of himself in some manner, similar to that of Christianity, it wouldn't feel right.

Edit: since the ashes on his skin represent his guilt, that image of Jesus taking on his ashes is both thematically fitting for the games and for Christianity. That artist deserves some applause
