Wow! Thanks Mark! I've been using Lightroom for more years than I'd like to admit and have spent countless hours on spot removal! So much so, that I make sure EVERYTHING is clean prior to shooting! Thanks again!

Problem: If you do not manually adjust the spot removal in any way, then a new automated selection of the clone area will be individualized for each photo. But if you manually adjust a spot removal, that exact adjustment will be replicated for the other photos, for that particular spot. Either way, you still have to carefully double-check all the images to make sure all the spot removals are appropriate. It's really easy to not see one, which you then only notice when looking at your print. :-/ The upshot is, this feature is not nearly so useful as it may appear, first blush.

That is assuming that the replacement areas are still relevant.

Thanks Mark. I've used Sync Settings before but never for spot removal. Don't know why but I will from now on. :)

This can save quite some time if images are very similar but is also a very dangerous technique as copied spots does no resample for the new photo but takes the same sample location from the first photo which can be totally inappropriate.

After giving this a shot, I would offer one warning. It certainly works, but do not trust it on "auto-pilot". It will remove/replace all those spots, but the subject moves around the frame during a shoot, either from the subject moving or you moving the camera. So, if the subject "steps in front of a spot", that spot will be removed just as it should, but Lightroom might replace an eyeball with an elbow, or lips with a shirt, or an ear gets replaced with a nose, etc... So, it works fantastic and saves a lot of time, but double check the spot replacement of each photo before moving on.

Mark, this is great. I most often have these spots show up in real estate shoots, so this should save a lot of effort! I look forward to trying it with the current version of Lightroom Classic (v12).

Hi, is it also possible when import pictures to remove the dust spot? It's always on the same spot. It would be nice to import from the SD card, and directly move this spots.

What if I already made some transform adjustments and crops?
I'll try it tonight, maybe lightroom factors that in.
