Sometimes, camera sensor dust or blemishes can be barely visible, with this quick trick, you'll be able to easily spot the spots in Photoshop non-destructively. It is essential to remove spots in Photoshop in the very beginning because you don't want to apply a lot of processing just to realize that there are some of them jumping out of the photo that needs to be removed. Also, removing any kind of spots after the fact can be destructive. Besides, you don't want to apply skin softening over blemishes, do you?

In this tutorial, we'll be using the curves adjustment layer in a funky way to make all those spots visible. Since it is an adjustment layer, after we have removed the spots, we can always turn it off or throw it away. Hope this video helps you.

I usually use the "Visualize spots" feature in Lightroom for this, but I recently made the switch to Capure One and was looking for a way to emulate it. Thank you so much for this video!

Good tips, but was hard to following due to talking soooo fast. Don't forget we are learning, is tedious to have to replay 10 times for a 2min video .
