About
🌎 Garland is a city located in Dallas County and as early as the mid 1800s, settlers started began arriving in what is now known as Garland. But it was informally incorporated until 1891. And although the initial growth was slow, it soon started peaking off steam as it adapted and embraced more of the manufacturing industry. So much so that today that Garland is one of the largest manufacturing cities in the state of Texas with over 300 manufacturers. And as of present day, Garland is home to over 250,000 people which make it the 6th largest city in the DFW Metroplex. And is now known for its culture diversity, which is reflected in the shopping, the arts, the restaurants, the activities and all the special events that pay homage to different cultures.

I never thought someone would make a video about Garland which I thought was a small and simple city. I'm a resident there for 24 years since birth.

An interesting fact about Garland is there is a road where there are multiple auto-related businesses. Auto repair shops, oil change services, car rentals, auto parts stores, and small used-car dealerships. It's Forest Lane between Plano Road and S Jupiter Road. I don't know why there is such a high concentration of those businesses there. My guess is because that area is pretty close to I 635.

Hi! For the tool you used to check commute times, is there a way for us to use it with multiple points? I’m trying to narrow down my search into a specific region based on commute times.

I went to middle and high school in Garland and am very familiar. Crazy how much more houses are than they were back then. LOL It has grown a lot in the last 20 years though which is good for the area.

I'm trying to be positive about it I've been here like 15 yrs. I'm at a lost bc of hardship. That's my fault. Boo hoo. I just need to get that out of me.
