My New Favorite Gadget 😃 - Boox Tab Ultra C Unboxing & First Impressions

I got a brand new e-ink tablet to finally replace sketching on paper all the time, it's called BOOX Tab Ultra C, and in this vlog I'm unboxing it and trying out the different features. It's got a color e-ink display which I honestly didn't even know exists.

I love E-Ink displays. I wish more products used them. Especially the fancy coloured ones. I miss my Pebble smart watch which had color e-ink. Most companies just use the monochrome ones (kindle, remarkable).

I have the old boox lumi which is only blackwhite, love to see how the tech is evolving! I also use to waste so much paper during my project planning and while do wireframes. ^^ The boox has been great! And since it is android you can cast the display to your pc and use it during your meetings to draft stuff out!

Fantastic video as always Marko! I like your review style content a lot. I purchased an Ipad Pro before starting my CS degree, and I can safely say it was one of the best investments I've ever made. Whilst being on the pricey side, its ease of use and responsiveness when note-taking is outstanding. Keep up the great videos!

There are many reviews of this product, and you're the only one saying that writing with the pen feels "just like paper". Everyone else is complaining that it's very slippery, almost like writing on an iPad with the Apple pencil.

I ordered Boox Nova Air a few days ago, because I'm a developer too, and I sketch a lot 😄I had tried to use iPad, but it didn't give me that nice 'paper feel' 😂 Also a next LED screen to stare at is not the best option if you care about your sight 😂 I really like your videos! ✌

I am a teacher and would like to use it in class. Can this device be connected to macbook with screen mirroring? or Does it has a bluetooth?

That is a very nice device and I'm going to guess not cheap. E-ink is certainly catching up and this could almost be used as a daily driver. That lag would drive me nuts though.

I forget the brand but I remember someone made a watch that had an E-ink and Oled display, basically Oled with the E-ink on top. If someone could do that with a tablet that'd be awesome.

I love the concept, software looks great too and pen seems responsive.
The reason why i would not buy it is because it's so slow. With every menu you open there's a delay.. i feel like they should have put a little more power in it. It would make a better user experience

Please spend more time on the drawing part. I'd love to see every brushes they have the feeling, how you can export it (maybe keeping the différent layer separated ?)

Not a lot of mention of battery-charge life in these reviews of the Ultra Tab C. I'm most interested in that at this point.
