The game is literally one of the most praised RPGS of all time, I’d say it’s perfectly rated.

I’m pretty sure no one’s ever said this game was underrated

The amount of weapons, quests, realistic factions, choices.

12:20 My personal favorite part about FNV's Hardcore mode, is that it is a mode, not a difficulty. You can do a playthrough on the easier difficulties while still enjoying survival game elements. Survival modes don't have to mean "everything is a bullet sponge".

Fallout New Vegas is the best Fallout game acclaimed by literally everyone, but thank you for this video, we needed it

I also liked the fact that you can aim down sights on non-scoped guns. It felt really different when I came back to FO3 after playing NV.

Also the iron sights was a big addition compared to the fallout 3 just zooming closer to the weapon's barrel

Im happy to see this game get more praise, but I never actually knew it was underrated. Come on it has more praise videos than the NCR has troops and occasionally the player count exceeds fallout 4.

Gotta make a quick note, the character creator is kinda the same but New Vegas reintroduced traits which were absent in F3 for some reason. The perks are way more creative in New Vegas as well.

Crazy to think such an iconic game didn’t always have the respect it holds now

New Vegas was my first experience with any Fallout game, and I was blown away at the sheer mass of it. I am actually currently playing through Fallout 3 and am having just as much fun.

New Vegas is one of the best RPG's ever made. Builds felt different and exciting. Quests had multiple ways of completion. Companions were more than meat sacks. Weapons? Holy crap the game is a love letter to John Moses Browning. Hardcore mode is a gem, DLC fit in perfectly.
I can never say enough good things about this game. It's biggest feature that bethesda doesn't have is that it trusts you as a player to motivate yourself and make your own decisions. Bethesda decides your motivation, back story and reactions. New Vegas lets you shoot all quest givers in the face if you feel like it. It's your toy and you can break it if you want.

Don't forget companion quests, and how you solved them determining their perks AND the rest of their lives as seen in the epilogue! It made them more three dimensional and easier to become attached to.

New Vegas was my first Fallout and first in depth RPG. Since playing it first, I was never able to really get into 3 or 4 as much afterwards.

Gameranx: “Most underrated”
Everyone else: “best fallout game ever”

The first two were very good CRPGs. New Vegas is a legend. 3 deserves some love for the shift in gameplay that made the franchise the behemoth it is today. And 4, for being the most accessible graphics and gameplay-wise for newcomers.

Among the many other features of the game, I always appreciated the ability to break down and build ammo. It added additional benefits to picking up ammunition even if it was a type you didn't need. You could always break it down and use it to make something useful.

Played through NV over 5 times and it never got old thanks to just the large amount of choices that are so affecting to the story of your character, especially the dlc endings. With mods, it feels like a completely different game.

I'm playing it as we speak, and I would love to see a remaster of this amazing game. I would happily play it through again.
