Still working on the tutorial for the velvet bodice. In the meantime, here's my attempt at a historybounding GRWM and a winter morning's walk. Anyways, I know it's a bit different, and maybe filler-ish, but let me know if you like it. It was fast and very fun to make. Wishing you a peaceful week ☺️

ITEMS IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE
(nothing is affiliate)
Hair and Makeup stuff: lol as if I know.
Velvet jacket: self-sewn & video coming soon
Mitts: Just had them. Target, I think.
I've also had questions about my furniture. I've just been watching FB marketplace for deals to snag on antiques for about a year now. 🤷‍♀️

Very nice, that felts like the intro of an episode of "Anne with an E". You should knit or sew a pair of spats to protect your ankles from the snow.

I love the confused then pleasantly surprised expression you make finding something in your pocket XD

I love the cinematography in this one! Your skirt and velvet jacket go together so well, I love the color combination! And the zip up stays are still the most ingenious thing I've seen!

Beautiful! Also, a very high concept ad for the velvet jacket tutorial 😉

Really liked that look into your wardrobe. I wish my own drawers & closet rails were as tidy. That green velvet is so lush! Loved the shots of you walking out on the ice. That's a winter tradition in my family. When the ice is thick & sturdy enough, and the fishermen have their shanties out, we go for a three-mile loop of a nearby lake, stopping on one of the islands for a hot chocolate break.

Such a fun, calming video to watch on lazy Saturday morning to feel inspired to get creative!

I love to think this is just a mix of Claire's timelines. It's a very nice blend of 18th and 20th century fashions and I think you did a brilliant job of history bounding Outlander.

In the video where you are making the skirt I wasn´t seeing how beautiful he really was. So now I was really, really surprised how well he turned out! I also was surprised to finaly realising what you meant with that the patterns is easy going changeable depending on what you are wearing to it.
So you were right: A skirt to wear for decades!

Great video!! I love you normal content, but this was a peaceful, no-mental-energy-required break that I certainly wouldn’t mind a repeat of. 💕

Ha...watching this just reminded me I had a dream this morning that I had just arrived at a Brigade of the American Revolution gigantic get together : )( Haha...and in part of my dream I fairy- skipped so quickly down about 300 steps. Well..I used to be in the Brigade and will be again. Most unfortunately after having an ankle replacement and exceptionally limited range of motion...fairy- skipping may just be a lucky dream ::)

I'm handsewing new 18th century linen petticoat now....new apron then chemise to follow.

You are a wonderful storyteller and model : )

I loved this video, and my heart always gives a little leap when I see you in the Mist and Stone skirt, knowing how hard you worked on it and how fulfilling it was.

That silhouette is flattering! I really need to get on with my 18th century inspired history bound so I can join in the fun! 😁

Because I have not been active in my reenacting circles lately, History Bounding is offering a chance to enjoy the Hobby every day .My idea is to take some of the silhouette, wardrobe pieces and use modern cloth as insets, gussets, etc. Kind of mix and match. I think 18th C. clothes are so comfortable and practical. Already, I have been taking old fabric and reimagining it using plant based dyes. (goldenrod, recently!) Can't wait for winter and a needle and thread!

I am still ridiculously obsessed with the zipper stays despite my vehement disdain for them xD

That was very relaxing!
I'm super excited for the velvet jacket, but I also really loved the skirt you're wearing here! The shape is really flattering and I'm severely tempted to make one like that now/soon-ish when fabric stores in my country open again!
Lovely cinematography, as always!
