I don't know, I've leveled two characters to 100 this cycle, and I don't really want to to it again. It takes too long, and both of my characters are CoF, so I can't see any justification in resetting them.

The game is good but just doesn’t feel finished. They need more content than just the mono system

People don't want to think that they could just get wiped during the middle of any future cycle. There has to be some sense of stability to a cycle. So, this might not be the best thing for the game and company's reputation, but it's what they need to do because of the wrecked economy.

The Corruption changes they made partway through the cycle (letting you push your other monoliths to your highest corruption with one echo) was a great idea and it's made it a lot faster and more fun to do alts. As a result, making a new character due to the reset isn't going to be as difficult.

Honestly glad I saw this video. I was bored waiting for the D4 DLC and decided to hop on last epoch and try the new season out. At least I only wasted a few hours leveling a character to 16 before I found out I’m getting reset in 3 days lol. I’ll just wait till the 19th to play. Wish they would’ve given me a notice when creating a character like. “Hey in 3 days were resetting you are you sure you want to start a new character, you will be reset in 3 days”

As someone who fell off the cycle pretty quickly, this is intriguing. I'm curious what the modifiers are that would make this interesting. For me the issue is still that I don't find the moving around and pressing of buttons as satisfying as either of the competitors. While I adore the gearing enough to play, until that is changed I think I'll probably fall off it pretty quickly again. We'll see though. Happy to be wrong.

Interesting. I think it's a good thing to try. Especially toward the end of the season when interest and player retention has dropped. I could see why people wouldn't like it, though; people start late, people progress slower, etc.

I can understand why they may feel the need to reset and it could possibly improve the game in certain aspects, however players that have invested their time understandably wont like getting wiped and could potentially lead to Last Epoch losing some players as a result.

This is our peak players fell under 4000 way too early in the cycle and we need people to come back patch.

i hope they address the gear progression, it feels pretty bad when u want an exalted with a specific mod, and there's no way to target it, the same with legendary potential, there's no way to get good exalteds later on

I'm fine with this for the opposite reason you are, Raxx. I now only play on Legacy anyway. I get invested in my characters and like to be able to take my time with them.

Reset is good for the mega blasters. Gives another race and shot and leaderboards for everyone. I like the thought process here.
I will likely start a new character but on legacy to finish the sentinel class.

I think this it pretty significant. It shows that the team at EHG are consistently keeping an eye on things that are impacting the state of the game and willing to make the changes required. Whilst sprinkling in some other little goodies.

Dropping this in October with Diablo 4 expansion and poe 2 is wild
